Travel industry veteran and visionary launches new consulting company aimed at filling gaps left by TMCs Detroit, MI, August 16, 2017 – Bill La Peer, an industry veteran of more than 30 years in travel management, announced today the creation of Zulu Solutions. With an innovative, consultative approach, Zulu Solutions focus will be to partner with corporations and their Travel Management Companies (TMC’s) to provide insight to develop and execute solutions to make their investment in travel a competitive advantage for them.
Bill La Peer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Zulu Solutions has worked with corporations that range from SME’s to Fortune 500 companies on a national, regional, and global basis, and excels in translating complicated business needs into actionable strategies. “We are creating an environment where critical thinking, collaboration, creative ideas and disruption are encouraged to identify the right solutions for our clients.” He is joined by travel industry veterans Jeff Becker - Senior Vice President, and Shauna Reker – Director, Emerging Technologies, Travel Management, and Payment Solutions. In addition, Ryan Wenger brings his experience as founder and CEO of one of the most in-demand travel software companies to Zulu as Partner – Travel Technologies and Product Incubation. La Peer indicated “we are in discussions with others and anticipate adding 4 – 5 members to the team in the next 2 months.“
La Peer said, “Corporations have limited financial resources, and two of the largest are employee and travel expenses. Effective utilization of these resources to maximize their return are key drivers to the success of organizations. Many TMC’s have been unable to assist their clients in delivering solutions and producing measurable results – we want to partner with corporations and their TMC’s to deliver “The Right Solutions at The Right Time”.
Zulu Solutions was created by La Peer to fill a void he had seen develop over the past decade. La Peer indicated, “Corporations are not capitalizing on opportunities to reduce travel expenses in the range of 10 – 25% because lack of resources and experience in how travel is purchased, consumed, and managed today.” “Zulu Solutions’ unique style of working with the TMC instead of replacing the TMC allows us to be more efficient in the market. We are able to negotiate on behalf of each individual client, build more fruitful preferred partner relationships, and create solutions tailor-made for each client’s needs without the hassle of implementing an entirely new travel management program. That’s just one example that will make Zulu Solutions a unique offering in the marketplace.”
